I HATE SEWING MACHINES!!

I've got so many things I want to make lately! but I can't do half of them until I can get this flipping sewing machine working!! AAHH!! its REALLY annoying me! Maple and I have decided that we will make scarfs together, and her gran is gona teach us :) Ha ha, once we spent the whole of lunch time talking about knitting, Harry Potter world (which we will one day go to!) and tea! I love my friends!

and since I'm in such a generous mood, I'll throw in a quote for ya:

I'm so desperate to make something, I'm actually considering sewing a whole dress by hand!! No, I'm not gona sew something small until I get this stupid machine sorted out like a rational person, I'm gona sew a freaking dress. Logic's for losers.

Projects

Well I've finished quite a few of my projects. Besides the dolls, but I'm thinking of saving them for the holidays. Now I have lots of new projects. I'm hoping to make some more tutorials. I've decided that I want to learn to knit, you know, so I'll be prepared for when I'm 80 :) Just joking, I only wana knit because I want to make myself a harry Potter scarf, but I was trying to find a picture of one, and there are like three different kinds!

I'm thinking of making the one in the first picture, though I think it will be a bit more of a challenge.
Also, It happens to be my best friends (sorry Maple, I mean bro, bro is higher than best friend!) and my sisters birthday next Saturday. So I'm gona do some baking on the weekend so I can make them both cupcakes. I've got lots of cute pictures to base them off, Sarah wants ones that look like sushi! Ans I'm making Maple maple syrup flavour :)


aaaaand, I wanted to make some domo kun cookies.....and do my sose homework.....and procrastinate doing my sose homework....

damn, it's only tuesday! Three weeks left of school until the holiday!! :)

Frankie Friday!!

It's that time of the week again, this week went quick! Just got back from Amy's birthday party at Dark Zone, it was pretty fun! There was a vest thingy with the name Dracula, and Amy was like "Kelsey, take this one!" ha ha, she knows me too well :) It was her birthday yesterday, but happy birthday Amy!!

Frank!! A lot of people are gona be away on my birthday because of a school trip, so I've decided I will have a Halloween/Franks birthday party on Halloween! sounds like a good plan to me!! although I'll have to decide between dressing up as a zombie, Frank of Frankenstein.... probably Frank!!

I decided to go with this picture, because all day my sister and I have been sending each other pictures of us pulling ridiculous faces on our phones. I also got my friends involved, my phone is full of hilarious photos, though they'd kill me if I posted them :(

Skeleton Kigurumi

I really want a skeleton kigurumi like Gerard has...and not just because he has one! You can buy them here but they cost $60. They look like this, they are the exact same as Gerard's

I was considering buying a cheaper plain black one, and then sewing on the white parts, but I think that might look a little bit tacky. But I dunno, still an option. I'm kind of putting off making the dolls, because it will be really fiddly and I can't really be bothered with that at the moment. I will eventually make them though.

Amy's birthday tomorrow, her peanut butter cupcakes are in the oven right now, they smell good :)

Well I've gota get back to my shit load of homework now. Fun for me...teachers just don't want us to have a life....

My Panda is Complete!!

I got to finish my panda today! I was sewing last night, I can tell you now, do not sew when you are tired. Your fingers will pay for it :( I sewed this by hand, it took quite a while. But I am so excited, my Nanna gave me her sewing machine because she doesn't want it anymore, she got really frustrated because she forgot how to thread it and stuff. I can finally learn to sew properly!! I'm doing sewing in school next term too.

I don't have a tutorial for it, I'm not really the best person to be learning from anyway!

It kind of looked like an egg when I was laying the material out. It reminded me of Humpty Dumpty! :)

And this is what it looks like finished. I'm not entirely happy with the way it turned out, but I have basically no sewing experience, so it's the best I could do. I think I started sewing in year 2, just for fun. I used to sew little bags, that was about all I could do so you were bound to find at least 2 little sewn bags in every draw in the house!!

Him/her (haven't quite figured out which yet!) in their new home :) It needs a name...

I'm considering giving it a bow tie, bow ties make things at least 10 time cuter, example:

As much as I'd love to say this is my cat...it's not. I don't have a cat, I have a dog though and he's just as adorable!! He's a bit fat though....

Project Progress

Well I've finished one of my projects, I went to the shops and bought the material for my MCR dolls, and some material for a panda pillow I'm gona make for my room. I was also gona get some material to make a bow tie, but I forgot, and the line was too long anyway :(

I did get some awesome vintage style dress patterns from the op shop today. Hopefully I can get my sewing skills up to scratch to make them, because they are far from it!! 

I got most of what I wanted to get done today done. Now I've got to start on my panda pillow and make a pare of Luna Lovegood earrings for Maple. Ahh!! So little time!!

Saddle Shoes Tutorial

I was able to get around to making my diy saddle shoes today. I am quite happy with how they turned out. They are really simple, but a little bit time consuming. Well, at least they were for me, probably because I'm so clumsy and didn't want to get any black on the parts I wanted white :)

you will need:
a pair of white canvas shoes
a black sharpie
black paint (I just used acrylic, I will water proof them after with water proofing spray)
some pain brushes, one fine and one larger

First, out line the holes and the border of the area you want to paint black with a sharpie.

Then paint around the border with a fine paint brush (the first photo was taken after this step)

Then just fill in the middle of the area with the larger pain brush.

Sorry about the lighting, I had to wait for then to dry so it was taken in the afternoon. I should point out that I used laces from another pair of shoes, I wasn't happy with the other ones, these one are thinner and rounded. I think they look better.

I'm wearing my new dress from hot topic :) So they're not exactly like saddle shoes, but good enough for school!

Frankie Friday!!

Yay! It's Friday! I've got lots of stuff I wana get done this weekend, like hitting the craft store...yes I am aware of how daggy that sounds. I'm itching to do some sewing lately, so hopefully I will be able to post some tutorials, not that I'm much of an expert myself!!

I'd like to see Maple say he's not hot now!  The writing at the top!! :) I only just noticed that he's wearing a stud in his nose, not a ring! ha ha, it looks kinda odd because I'm used to seeing the ring.  I really want my nose pierced with a ring like he used to have, I can't believe he took all his piercings out!! :( 

I'm really excited bout all the projects I'm planning :)
